I heart you, you haunt me

Girl meets boy. Girl loses boy. Girl gets boy back... ..sort of. Ava can't see him or touch him, unless she's dreaming. She can't hear his voice, except for the faint whispers in her mind. Most would think she's crazy, but she knows he's here. Jackson. The boy Ava thought she'd spend the rest of her life with. He's back from the dead, as proof that love truly knows no bounds.

This is a fantastic story about feelings and how to let go. It was not very difficult to sympathize with Ava. She felt really guilty and even if I didn't think it was her fault, I understood her feelings. It can't be easy in a situation like that.

Although the book is written in verse, and for that matter is very short, it feels like I've read 500 pages. There's really a whole story in only a couple of words. This is the second book I read in verse and I will definitely be reading more, that's for sure. Schroeder is a fantastic writer and now I'm also very curious about Ellen Hopkins.

Far from you

Alice lives with her father and his new family but she isn't comfortable with that. I've never read a book written in verse before but I've seen a few reviews of books by Schroeder and Ellen Hopkins that made me really curious.

I read through it very fast and I like Lisa Schroeder as a writer. It's simple but at the same time deep and the story gets you something to think about. Even though I read it a couple of months ago, I still remember it clearly.

If you're thinking about reading books written in verse, I would highly recommend this book and I would absolutely read more books by Schroeder in the future.
