Far from you

Alice lives with her father and his new family but she isn't comfortable with that. She thinks her father moved on too fast after her mother died in cancer and the fact that she now has a little sister called Ivy doesn't make it better. One day, her father and her new stepmother Vic decides they're going to visit Vics parents and Alice is supposed to come with. She can't imagine anything more boring..

I've never read a book written in verse before but I've seen a few reviews of books by Schroeder and Ellen Hopkins that made me really curious.

I read through it very fast and I like Lisa Schroeder as a writer. It's simple but at the same time deep and the story gets you something to think about. Even though I read it a couple of months ago, I still remember it clearly.

If you're thinking about reading books written in verse, I would highly recommend this book and I would absolutely read more books by Schroeder in the future.
