Touch of Frost

Gwen Frost is a new student at Mythos Academy. Everyday she's surrounded by amazones, valkyries and spartans and what is she? Some gypsy girl. She's not strong and she has no fighting skills and the only thing she really has is the gypsy gift, which means she can see things when she touches it. Why did her grandmother want her to go to Mythos in the first place?

When one of the students at Mythos dies, Gwen gets curious and want to know more about it but it's not always healthy to be curious. Suddenly, Gwen is the target and she has no idea what she's fighting.

I don't know what made me pick up this book but I guess it was the mythological parts. I have a thing for greek mythology, that's for sure! I've also read som great reviews about the whole series so I got very curious. I got so happy when my fiancé bought it for me as a gift and started reading it right away.

There's a lot of clichés in this book. The helpless girl meets the strong, spartan boy who save's her life but they can't be together. Something like that. The fact is that I have no problem with it and even if it sounds predictable - I really want to know what happens to Gwen and how the book will end. And now, when I know what it really is about, I want to read the next book in the series!

Except from Gwen, I also really liked professor Metis and it will be real fun to follow her in the rest of the series. I hope to see more of Carson as well. The only thing I really know about him now is that he's a band-geek.

Overall, this was a great book and I cannot wait to read the next one, Kiss of Frost.
